One of our local outdoor treasures in Los Angeles County, Marine Stadium is located at the edge of the Belmont Shore neighborhood in Long Beach. The first manmade rowing course in the US and site of the 1932 Olympics, this historic landmark provides a popular venue for a variety of aqua sports and activities. While still used as an active training and competition rowing course, the waterway is also a prime spot for recreational boating and kayaking, waterskiing, stand-up paddle boarding, swimming and even fishing. With an adjacent park as well as a beach lining the southwest shore, it’s also a great spot for picnicking, sun bathing, biking and walking along the pathways. That’s a lot of great reasons to Love Los Angeles Life!
