After recording the highest number of sales in both November and December of 2020, the Los Angeles housing market continued the upward trend through the first month of the new year. With the record low number of homes available for sale and continuing low interest rates, buyers have been fiercely competing with each other to buy available homes, driving prices ever higher.
In Calabasas the January year to year number of all types of home sales increased 70%, while the Sale Price for all homes sold increased 24% and for single homes sold it was 30%.
Agoura Hills saw the number of home sales nearly double from January of the previous year with all home sales registering a near 20% increase and single residence sales recording a whopping 50% increase.
No January comparative figures are available for Hidden Hills, since there were no closed sales recorded on the MLS last month. There are 5 sales currently pending in Hidden Hills.
